Dr. Sameer Dani founded Apollo CVHF Heart Institute with a single conviction: that Ahmedabad and Gujarat deserved a cardiac centre built exclusively for heart and vascular disease, not as a department within a general hospital, but as a facility where every resource, every specialist, and every clinical decision is centred on the cardiovascular patient.
With over 30 years in interventional cardiology, Dr. Dani has performed thousands of coronary and vascular procedures and has built one of the most experienced catheterisation programmes in western India. His clinical expertise spans the full breadth of coronary intervention, including complex cases involving chronic total occlusions, severely calcified arteries, and multi-vessel disease in high-risk patients.
A defining feature of Dr. Dani's practice is his parallel expertise in peripheral vascular and endovascular medicine. He leads Apollo CVHF's vascular programme, which includes advanced mechanical thrombectomy for DVT and pulmonary embolism using the most current platforms available. This dual expertise, coronary and vascular under one roof, is rare in India and has made Apollo CVHF a referral destination for complex vascular cases from across Gujarat and beyond.
Dr. Dani is a recipient of the BC Roy Award, the highest recognition conferred by the Medical Council of India, and the Pride of Gujarat Award. He has trained and mentored generations of cardiologists and continues to be involved in national and international cardiology education.
