What Is Robotic-Assisted Cardiac Surgery?
Robotic-assisted cardiac surgery uses the Da Vinci Xi system to give the operating surgeon magnified, 3D vision and wristed instrument precision beyond what the human hand alone can achieve, controlled from a console within the operating theatre. The surgeon is in full control throughout - the system translates the surgeon's hand movements into smaller, more precise motions inside the chest.
